1 Oak Contracting, LLC was founded by Mr. Roni Benjamini. Project scopes have ranged in size and include the construction of ground-up residential developments, office & residential renovations and specialty construction.

Mr. Benjamini has twenty years of hands-on construction and project management experience which started with best-in-class general contracting firms. Before founding 1 Oak Contracting, LLC, Mr. Benjamini worked at Rockrose Construction as the lead project manager for a 500-unit ground-up residential tower on the Queens waterfront. He successfully delivered this $110 million high-rise project within the projected 18 month timeframe. Prior to working for Rockrose, Mr. Benjamini worked at Turner Construction on the Goldman Sachs Office Tower in Jersey City and for Bovis Lend Lease on the Ben Gurion International Airport in Israel.

Mr. Benjamini earned an MBA from the NYU Stern School of Business in 2005 and holds both a Master & Bachelor Degree in Engineering from The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art with concentrations in Geotechnical & Structural Engineering.

DERICK HOLT is a Virginia bred, New York based graphic artist and illustrator, specializing in branding. He has created a timeless and influential body of work over the past 15 years, blending a crafted classic aesthetic with modern sophistication. Before launching his design practice, Derick spent over 7 years cooking in professional kitchens in Brooklyn, NY and Richmond, VA. In 2001, he earned his Bachelors’ degree from Virginia Commonwealth University. His work was prominently featured in the exhibition at the Cooper Union, Appetite: A reciprocal relationship between Food & Design. Derick is a five-time winner of the Print Magazine Award of Excellence, a winner in the prestigious ADC Young Guns Competition, and has work included in the New York Public Library permanent collection.
